Hello everyone,

I'm an audio nut who has just discovered this site. I'm into DIY speaker building, vintage and modern tube amps, and preamps as well as state of the art and vintage solid state. I recently bought a Music Hall turntable to go with my other gear. I have a huge collection of old Fisher tube amps, and have a venerable Harman Kardon Citation II (McShane rebuilt), a Fisher SA-1000, a Marantz 8, among many 400, 500, KX-200 and other Fishers. I also have some Dynaco, Quicksilver, and my latest find...Bogen. I have built a pair of the VTA M-125 monoblocks lately, and am presently looking at the Phase Linear Monster project, but know I couldn't pull it off without someone more technical than me doing the work. I play drums in several local trios and other bands, play in a Pit Band for our annual high school musical, and have just enjoyed music and music reprodiuction for the last 40 plus years...

Glad I found this site...

Thanks for the warm welcome..

Sutton

We just received a truck load of Epiphany line array cabinets. I like to mess with speakers. Instant gratification if you do it right.

Which MH did you get? I have to finish this one for Lee. I have a stock MH I will see if the wiring and cart change made a difference.

So in a nutshell we are just a bunch of crazy audio people who have fun most of the time. I hope you enjoy yourself.

Welcome to our forum, Sutton. It's good to have a musician aboard. It seems you have quite a discerning ear, judging by the quality of your home components. But, I do have to ask: playing in your annual high school's musical and being of 40+ years of age might lead others to question?

Nando.

Hey, I just reread this thread. I'm a 57 year old who plays drums (and percussion) in our high school's annual Broadway Production...they have won state for the last three years. I am not still in high school. My children have both now graduated from there. I am friends with a lot of the musicians and the music director for the productions. I can't see for s*!), but I don't wear glasses unless they cost a dollar and are 1.5 magnigication or higher...and I am an audio NUT. I think you may have seen pics of some of my gear collected over the last 40+ years....(I bought a lot of it during my divorce) don't know why....my present wife liked music a lot more when we dated. Now it is liked less by her, or at least my spending money for stuff....or the time I am gone playing and rehearsing...but she tolerates me and my crazy habits...
