Hi from Sofia, Bulgaria

Here's a late welcome to the group. I look forward to your Pioneer contributions. We are all picture hungry here.
I have a couple Bulgarian military weapons. Some of the finest craftsmanship in the world.
Do you have any nice audio gear that is manufactured in Bulgaria? It's always fun to see something different.

Thanks, Brad

Thanks, Ivo. If you have a story to go along with how, when, or why you got a particular Pioneer piece, please feel free to add it to your post.

Nando.

Hi Brad,
I will post some more pictures in the Pioneer dedicated thread.
Unfortunately I don't know a quality Bulgarian vintage HiFi gear. But there is a HiEnd one - Thrax:

Here are some poor pictures from a small private museum in Bulgaria dedicated to Socialism's past.

Oh no, another poor soul about to sell all his other gear to buy Phase Linear amplifiers, rip them into pieces, toss out the pieces then turn the perfectly good Phase linear amp into a WOPL.... HA HA. If you do not get the joke, you will soon ! Welcome to PHOENIX !

Don't be jealous, just buy some Pioneer, seat back and enjoy:wave:

I never welcomed you Ivo; so, welcome!

the air is much fresher here than some other leading brands...

I have no Pioneer gear to share, but it looks nice!

Are there any Trabant cars in that museum picture? They were the safest cars ever made because they either didn't run or they ran at 20 KPH.

Yes, there is. On the first picture - the closest car is Moskvich, next is Lada and the third one, light blue is Trabant Combi 601S Universal:).

Next one, in yellow is Zastava.

Thank you, Jim!
The fresh air is good.
You could buy one Pioneer bit - just for colour:) Then you could post it in the Nando's thread.
Otherwise you have some nice HiFi components.
Ivo

The biggest quantity of Pioneer tapes I have purchased ever:)
There are 2 tapes which I was missing so far. So really happy with this buy.

Sweet! And thank you for the museum pictures. It's always interesting to see Combloc products.
The electronic gear is sometimes a bit 'industrial' looking. But I know tube guy's rave over the components like capacitors & such. I see a lot of very cool 'nixie' tube stuff on Ebay from the area.
This is my little friend from Bulgaria;

It shouldn't be smoking so many cigars tho...

It's Fidel's old AK, so the cigars were in the magazine...
