Damn, I remember when I was a wee lad back in the 60's. He was my hero. I wanted to be an astronaut but never made it. I did fly a few times but not in an aircraft. RIP John. When there are not many hero's left it hits hard. Now THAT, was a career that would make momma proud. Didn't he come up with... "Excuse me, but why does god need a starship"? Oh wait, my other hero... Kirk.......

Big balls! And as Perry said, fewer heroes every day. WWII vets and the Pearl Harbor survivors are in their 90's+. Korea...70's & 80's. Viet Nam...60's & 70's.

We are on the same page.... No wonder these kids are screwed up these days. Their hero's are the numbnutz who make video games or act stupid on TV riding skateboard's over the grand canyon... WTF???
