Gene Wilder, Mr. Fuji, Juan Gabriel are gone...

Wilder was born Jerome Silberman. He came to prominence in the early sixties and especially for his role in The Producers. He became the stuff of memes when he played the eccentric candymaker in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, a favorite of children of all ages. He continued his trail of stardom with movies for Mel Brooks, starring with Richard Pryor and was married to Gilda Radner until her death for uterine cancer (1984-1989), his third of four wives. Wilder spent the last three years out of the public eye as he pregressed through his illness and passed away.

Harry Fujiwara "Mr. Fuji" was a professional wrestler and manager associated with the WWE, known for his 'Odd Job' attire and especially well known for meddling with matches to get his wrestlers to win.

He wasn't born in Japan, he was a Hawaiian native, that was made up for his character.

He passed away at the age of 82.

Juan Gabriel was a superstar of Mexican popular music who was known for standing out among the macho culture of his nation. He had four children and never married and was always assumed by many to be gay, which he politely never answered. It really didn't matter, his music was what was important.

He died from a massive heart attack on his way to board a flight to his next concert. He was paid tribute to by John Fogarty of CCR, of whom Gabriel recorded a Spanish version of Have You Ever Seen The Rain for a tribute album.

Gabriel was born Alberto Aguilera Valadez and was 66.

Beat me to the punch- I just saw the article about Gene Wilder. Didn't know of the other two passing.

Crazy guy- very funny. He'll be missed.

I corrected Juan's name in the title but it still didn't work.
