The meniscus is looking good..
Hey you looking at my mustache??

hehe.. Man, over the past few nights.. BOTH sets done with those inserts of various sizes.

Gary on yours, one of the things I would do is to bypass the front level pots.. but that's up to you. If you don't use them, it's a bonus.

On with the 400 .. Couple more nights on that, and I'll hit this hard. I gots A.D.D. lol.. :laughing5:

Figured seeing both model backplanes would make a neat pic...

Thanks Jerry, for the update. I will defer to your expertise regarding the volume pots. I had been using them but if accepted practice is to bypass, then by all means do so.

Simplicity is a good thing here, Gary.

Ok, backplanes are pretty much done now except for the wiring. Next is to get a driver board together for you.

Jerry, you seem to knock off theses
rebuilds pretty fast. Do you ever challenge yourself? Like doing one blind drunk, one handed while getting a lap dance? Not suggesting you should try that immediately though.

LOL well if you only knew... :glasses1:

Seriously tho.. 400's are a pretty quick build. 700's are a little more involved with the dual channel fuses and whatnot.

Looks like this evening on when I'll be opening the shipping box... we'll see how it goes!

I think I shall be married to this amp for good now since Bob wrote my name on it.

Only 16 in 1990 when found her unwanted, the leftover piece from a rack of stuff traded in and picked clean by my greedy co-workers. It was love at first sight 24 years ago. Must have been fate that that Bob Carver happened to be a guest of honor close to home at exactly the time I had her apart.

Good to know she shall live again thanks to the Phase Linear Gods who contributed to her resurrection.

Gods be praised!!! - Hallelujah!!!

BTW, with 103 volts, what will the output power be?
