Yes, I think it was the original Supertuner, and I bought to go with it a plug-in module which IIRC minimized the multipath distortion.
I last used this thing in a workshop system:
computer-style outboard CD drive > car-type cassette adapter > Pioneer KP-500 > Mission speakers (a model newer than the 70's - 7xx series I think)
It didn't sound bad, and you see I juggle more than just amps.
