The son of "Old Blue Eyes", who continued his father's musical legacy and was already singing in his teens, who was infamously kidnapped at the age of 19 as well and the younger brother of actress and singer Nancy Sinatra (There Boots Were Made For Walking), another sister Tina Sinatra and a son, Michael. He died of cardiac arrest after taking ill before he was to perform on his Sintatra Sings Sinatra tour at Daytona Beach, Florida.
Sinatra, Jr. was the bandleader for his father in the last years' of dad's life, and he never was truly bothered that he was not nearly as successful as his father. He even played it up on television shows, including 'Family Guy' and 'The Sopranos' and in the late 1980s appeared on the Was (Not Was) album 'What Up, Dog?' singing 'Wedding Vows In Vegas'.
