I pulled the trigger on an M-80 so I,m offering my 2 Yamaha M-50s for sale,,both of these are used as my daily drivers,,and both are in great working and looking condition,, the original use for them was thru my M-80 Pre which is designed for amp inputs but it developed a bad rca input so I jacked them into my Macintosh Pre which is not designed for that ,,hence the purchase of the M-80 ,,amps are advertised a 110 WPS and have been tested and inspected a couple years ago by Jeff Jensen here in the cities,,Jeff is my Tech who specializes in Carver,Phase Linear as well as TT Rebuilds I,m asking 225.00 each but will listen to serious offers,,shipping is around 60.00 I accept money orders ,certified checks or pay-pal (add 3% for Pay-pal) pics and other info available just contact me via this forum,,,,,these amps though listed as a pair are available as seperates thanks FF

Yes it is. You screw the wire in via a side hole or use banana plugs.

I was given one w/bad channel and a bad C-60 pre, sold then to two different AK members.

Doesn't your M-50 have the same type of speaker connectors? If so have your tech cannibalize one of them.

You could use something like JB Weld on the inside of the amp to hold the bracket together.

the M-50 in puts are different and are not as heavy duty ,,and work to well to become donors,,,talked to Avionic this am ,,again he says it,s not uncommon for the plastic brackets to break ,his advice is a donor deck or to get all the pieces together and build a dam around it and pour epoxy cement over it and bind all the pieces together he also said that the Fact that the unit fires up and doesn,t go into protect mode is an excellent sign

Is this what they look like?

If it were me I would change them out for 5 way binding posts even if not broken. But that is me.

IE 8 doesn't like to open the Enlarge window by itself, but you can right click, drop down to Proerties and click, copy the URL (make sure you scroll down over all of it) and use Img to insert it here. You cannot bring the entire app with you, only the images.

Is that what you were talking about?

The M-80 has different connectors. These are like the ones found on Technics SA-x00, some 80s Sansuis and a few others.

THESE are M-80 terminals...

Replacing the originals with "real" binding posts is a great idea. Even tho the posts on my M-80 are fine, that's one thing I plan on doing when I get to recapping and refurbing it (which should be shortly... whenever the ole tax return comes). That and banana plugs on my speaker cables - so I can quickly and easily switch 'em around with various amps and receivers.
