I saw several of this model and in a wide price range, from does not work to untested/as is and some in that general price range like the one you saw. The first thing you want to know is what's under the hood. Is it a chip amp, non-switching with multiple outputs per channel (and when one goes others go with it to protect the rest, if designed right) and get some general idea of reliability.

I'm still not sure why you are stepping down like this from the Heathkit when I'd bet, while possible no WOPL candidate, also no seeming slouch.

the amp in the link is mine I am selling it on my friends ebay account well I was gifted a wopl 400 series 1 had got the kenwood to take the place of the heathkit case it needs a restoration and it got worse when I tried to stiffen up the power supply it did not like that so I put it back to stock in its condition now it dose not have the guts it should the kenwood is in much better cosmetic and working condition then the heathkit if by chip you mean package then yes it has 4 2 packages per channel if the heathkit was fully restored it would most likely kill the kenwood in terms of power and sound quality

I'm almost certain of that. Still, I don't knock Kennies, the first two things I ever sold on eBay in the short time I sold were a Kenwood tuner and control center (preamp) and probably of that vintage.

wile I like the amp it dose not have enough power and head room for sound is great not nearly as good as a wopl or some thing more vintage but still very good to me I hope some can enjoy it for many years to come
