That musikplaya applet is delicious, thank you for the link Larry.

I'm enjoying this music a lot.

Re: EXPLORE! New bamds, new opinions

How about old bands which are new to the listener? Man, I've been scoring many LPs lately of old artists I haven't heard before. A few of those bands I was made aware of by members, here. In the past three weeks I have found at least 42 records and a few CDs of good stuff.

I didn't even know there were 3 Level 42 albums, Nando. Therefore it's new to me as well.

The thread IS called EXPLORE! after all. Thenks for adding!

EDIT: At LEAST 42...oops!

Very nice Larry! Joe's acoustic strumming on the opening part of that tune reminds me of Chris Squire of Yes on a particular track in one of the live albums I have.

Re: EXPLORE! New bamds, new opinions

Well, an old band, but I just discovered The Sensational Alex Harvey Band when I was at a local garage sale today. One of Geri's friends was having the sale. Her husband, Donovan, introduced me to their music. He is a sound engineer. I picked up the "Same Stories" CD (1976). I would have preferred to have their music on vinyl.

One golden oldie that should not be passed up " The Michael Stanley Band". Nando, I have some on some of my old 7" stuff. I could send the rest of my 7" if you would like.

I'll look them up, but I'm sure our music taste is similar. Once I send your package, I'll get back to you about more tunes. Thanks for offering, bud!

I recall them! Maybe not the songs as much but I liked them. Never had their records though.

Nattefrost

Video from 12/17/11: About 16 minutes of compiled stage performances. Classic 80s and 90s style synth music, suitable for dancing until the song changes and screws you up
