I am a fan of Eric Clapton. I have been to one of his concerts. Unfortunately, the stadium didn't afford the best acoustics for his show. I love smaller venues, or an outdoor concert, over a sports stadium, anyday.

His last CD was OK, but not outstanding. I bought my youngest son a new LP re-release of "Slow Hand." It's still one of my most favourite albums of his.

I think I own one CD of his. In my view he is over rated. To me Jeff Beck is a lot better player all around. So I am not a big fan.

I'm sure I have an old LP of the Yardbirds featuring Beck, Clapton and Page. Which Clapton CD do you have: "Unplugged?" My favourite guitarist is Mark Knopfler, over Eric Clapton.

Well, once the Travelling Guitar Tape makes it to me, I'll be sure to include an Eric Clapton tune in the mix. And Mark Knopfler, and Neil Young...

And a Brand new never opened new vinyl version of his latest, given to me by Siguard in the Tapeheads "Secret Santa" program. Today may be the day.

Lee,

Now, that's what I like to see: a classic blues-rock guitarist in front of classic Spec! "The Core" is a good tune, and I love hearing the back-up vocals on that tune. I do have a good selection of Clapton on original LPs, and the "Unplugged" CD is one of those exceptionally mastered recordings which will have you believing you are there, experiencing it live. Hook up that tube pre-amp, have your buddies over, and start crankin' this evening.

Nando, are you sure we weren't separated at birth?? The background and supporting vocals on that song are what make it in my view, that woman can sing.

I bought the Reunion CD set of Cream at Royal Albert Hall in 2005. One of my favourite songs on the set is "We're Going Wrong", and Ginger Baker, arthritis and all, does a great job on the skins while Clapton is as good as he was when the band first formed.

That's Marcy Levy singing with E.C. on that tune.

Seems we do share alot of common interests. If we were separated at birth, I wouldn't mind having back the extra 6" in height you took from me.

I'm a little SHORT on patience, right now, Lee. And I can't find my s_ _ t-kicker cowboy boots in the closet. Ever see an Italian in Daytons? And how did you know I polished off a couple of Buds?
