You have to love it. This one even said works. I bought a cassette duplicator last week. The master capstan is all that works. The 3 copiers don't. I reread the listing and it said works. If it said unable to test I wouldn't be upset. But it didn't. I haven't cracked it open yet. To check and deox the motors yet. Will put it on my bench to day. Go figure the one that says it works it doesn't.LOL

At least on CL or in town, I just leave it to people don't care, it's been in the basement for 15 years and they know they'll get $$$.

You have to turn the screws and make them understand, Larry, all there is to it. A 30 dollar consumer dual deck is one thing but that's thuggish.

Yes I opened up. I took a pic I'll post. I found one broken belt and 2 missing. He refunded my money. There is like 6 belts to each copier. I emailed the company about the belts. It may just go in the garbage. Rebelting hell.

Hi Larry,
I don't know who made this but if the belts are easy to get at then replacing all of them might get you a nice working machine. The concern I have is for the heads.
Why did you want a high speed duplicator anyway? I think our Church has some Telex units that were in good shape when they stored them- I could see if these are still around.
These are the Master and dual cassette slaves units. I think these were mono though.

We are going after the Indie market to record little known bands to tape. On the one in the pics it was 79.00 to rebelt one bay and we have three bays. So we are pulling everything copper on them. It has some big motors. I'm looking at a Telex Acc-4000 3 bay with 4 bay slave unit. If the ones you have are 4000s then they are stereo. If they are 2000s then they are mono.
