Notice they didn't say...." hook up an 8 ohm load...." an unloaded 53 vmrs is not like a loaded 53vrms...
 
I did not notice that, it probably should state to an open load.

I still would not attempt that test, unless I had a large stock of outputs. Sounds like a pretty good stress test.
