I picked up a pair of Dynaco A50's the other day off our local CL here. I have been searching for these for a few years as I absolutley love the little A25's. These need to be refinished but so far with the little time I've spent with them I am very impressed.

Anybody else here owned theres or heard them? What are your thoughts and Impressions?

How are you going to refinish them? Are all the drivers ok? I have never heard a pair of Dynacos; but I have only heard good things about them. I think I may need to get out more and listen to some speakers. Wish they had a pawn shop here. My CL doesn't have squat. Unless your a farmer. LOL

Drivers are all fine and work well.

Gee Larry, I guess I'll fill any deep scratches with wood putty, sand them then put some finish on them :albino: (sorry I couldn't help the obvious smart ass answer :) )

I'm no woodworker though so I may just have to leave them how they are. That and I don't have anywhere to do the work right now.

Well for deep scratches use a wet cloth and a steam iron and you may be able to raise them out. Then sand. There are a few tricks with wood. If they raise out and you sand with 120 grit you can use an oil finish. Put the oil on with 600 grit sand paper and they will be as smooth as a babies butt.. If there are any water marks or dark marks use clorox to bleach them out. Then wet the whole surface so it will all be the same color.
Being a smart a-- is better than being a dumb a--. In my view anyway.
