Had to buy this just to see how they did it. Now the e-bay seller insisted that this little modification DOUBLED THE POWER!! I stated to him that doing that would require extensive p[ower supply modification, he assured me that it didn't matter, this had double the power of a normal 400. I got it fgor 200 so mI decided not to bust his balls. Interesting piece though. Gives me a pretty good idea on how to run the outputs on the White Oak 1.3KW monster.

I saw that amp. What did the guy do to it? Did it work when you got it? What is the power output? Looked like a real clunker to me. I assume you were being funny when you say it showed you how to properly do a 1.3k PL?

What is the story on this thing?

I'm not going to power it up. It has the same power supply as a normal 400, and the same number of outputs, therefore it has the same power output as any other 400. Actually they did some things right, and just by looking at this there are some thgings that will work on the 1.3KW monster and some that wont.
The +/-drives, current limit and output rail wires are way to long in my opinion, ands thus will pick up stray emi, rfi and capacitance. Not to say that those can't be overcome, but with a better layout those adjustments won't have to be made.

I get the referral credit if it works. If it catches fire, I never saw it on Evil-bay and did not send Lee an email saying he should pick it up. Really.

ROFL. You're too old to remember, pops? :cyclops:
Without googling, I'm guessing it's from when Donald duck was shot by the Martian? :alien:

I concocted a nice little death trap in my own amp. If I ever sell it, I'll likely take it back out.
