I went to the thrift store yesterday and found a copy of Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother, Harvest SKAO-382 for 99 cents. Since I have never seen a copy of the LP with the title like shown, especially with the catalog number placed like this, I looked it up.

http://www.homeofrecords.com/vinyl_...ase170_(Atom_Heart_Mother_US_EMI_USA_SKAO-382) tells me it's probably the first US Harvest pressing from 1970.

It's a bit scuffed and has a couple prominent scratches, but I'm NOT looking to sell it anyway, just bragging a little.

If you see the first picture you'll see the rest of my score--two new Memorex CDX IV 90 metals for $1.00 and an early 90s TDK D90 for 39 cents.

Without see the dead wax info, can't tell you what pressing it is, if it says EMI anywhere on the label, it's a reissue for sure. Check the bottom of the label ring text and see if it says "subsidiary of Capitol", if you see that, it's a later reissue

It's a US pressing. Of course it will say Capitol Industries-EMI. Side 1 has Mastered by Capitol stamped and handwriting,

I got a 6" loupe and can't read crap. the other side had Wly-...

I'll try later when I can find my headband loupe goggles.

Incorrect Steven, US 1st pressings will not be stamped Mastered by Capitol, I think they started stamping that around 1974-75. 1st US pressings also have "Stereo" at the top of the labels, yours does not

1st issue matrix's

Matrix / Runout: SKAO-1-382-A-6- / SKAO-2-382-A-3-
Matrix / Runout: ST1 382 B2 #1 / ST2 382 B2 #3

My bank's ATM went down, I came back and called the bank and went back to the bank next door and chewed a $3 fee, my bank refunded their non-bank fee, the heat was bad and then I was taking the window plastic down and when I went to pry off the wooden slat one of the windows started coming out of the frame...

Wanted an 8" circular florescent tube for my loupe, the sales lady showed it to me to be sure, it fell out on the way to the counter SMASH!

Thought I had a new porch light cover and that it was plastic-NOPE.

Got my shoes but I don't care yet, I'm beaten down tired.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate that.

If it’s “Wly,†it’s pre-1977, and if it’s the full “Wally,†it’s post-’77

Right- important fact!

Also: -⊲ indicates it was pressed at the Winchester, VA plant.

The circular tube for my loupe arm for broken and I was going to get another at the hardware store. The clerk showed it to my from the box and then when I was going to the register it fell out of the box...I went to remove the plastic from one of the windows yesterday and rediscovered that we had to use 2" wood screws to put it back in the frame a few years ago when it started to come out again, and I'm nearsighted with astigmatism plus I was POOPED.

I'm not really bummed anyway, now I need Meddle and Obscured By Clouds, for crying out loud :shaking2:

And I have my CRC QD and a can of air duster. AND FOOD. And I woke up. Call it a win.
