Is there a real advantage to use DC coupling ?
Is it possible to hear any difference ?
Phase Linear suggests to use normal coupling for domestic use ; why ?
( PL 700 owner's manual )
For me it's only a subsonic filter , but theoretically the phase shift
could modify the transient response at the lowest frequencies .

"Normal" engages the cap, stripping any DC coming from the pre-amp, DC is straight thru, During a WOPL conversion, I do away with that switch now.....

This is very clear for me , I would only like to understand if there are real advantages .
Sorry for these dull questions , but I'm an engineer and by definition I'm insane :laughing3::laughing3::laughing3::laughing3: .

I think Joe calculated the cutoff point of a 1uf cap in line with the input at 3 hz. The phase shift isn't apparent down to 10hz anyway.

Let me correct that, there is no more phase shift than what is already there..
