D-500 dual

I am now building a dual 500 with one of Joe's dual mono boards. It will also have be full complemtary setup ans many other little changes. May install a soft start and suspension mount the transformer.

Your build underway, 33,000uF caps seem like a lot even for a D500. Were caps that size, that physically fit, easy to find?

Is the xformer in those same as 700’s or larger?

So yes it is overkill. And yes it requires slow blow main fuse.

They are the same size as the stock ones Gary. I got 6 sets for a good price and that is the only reason I got them for my system. As Lee says “Head Room Baby”!!!! And I guess if you are maxed out then you may get a further millisecond before distortion sets in
