Mice are great for stuff new
Optical mice are great
How the hell do they foul up in such short order? (FOO FIGHTERS)

You know the delinquents--two-button Scrollers.

After awhile it won't click well and it doesn't seem to be focused.

The right button is groovy but I gather the left switch is either dirty or the switch needs a blue download...oh nevermind that could be the cause.

One screw holds 'em together (Cue Daryl and Toni ONE! One screw holds 'em together!/Yet they don't work whenever/some poor user's clicking like mad/frustrated, sad/Thinks of the errors and feels he was had/Stop! cause it's quite a pain yeah Stop! cause it's gotta work better/Look at this post, I've no love/for it whatever...and ever).

Seriously, for a change. Instructions to neuter the booger?

Maybe it's the danged box or browser.

I can zap over my desktop images at light spped.

I have XP SP3 and IE 7. My board is ten. I have a Celeron 2.6 with a 128 MB L2. A 2.4 P4 would do better. I have a 900 MHZ AMD HP that slays it.

I forgot: It's a USB but the PS/2 critters end up the same. Call Nero Wolfe.

Sounds like a toasted mouse. :reindeer:

BTW where is everyone?
I don't know but do you know how bad the page looks with a standard VGA driver in 16 bit mode when all you have is a 4.2GB ME disk to run with?

The USB mouse behaves a lot better if you leave the PS/2 siamese.

In ME it doesn't do most of that, I would think it's the really low resolution from having no onboard video driver right now. I could cure that I think.

AVG 9.0 doesn't support 9X OS so this is just an emergency stopgap to gather repair and other info.

I've had quite a few 286-early Pentium era serial mice, some functioned great into nearly 20 years of life.

Scroll mice are just built like crap.

Well if you need a Windows 2000 disc and a larger HD, I can send you a disc and a larger HD to install it on.
