I've wondered the same thing. I'm the guy who emailed the seller asking for inside pics, but he didn't do as I requested and take the faceplate off so you can really see the board. He might if someone else asked the same thing. I'm not in the market, got more amps than I'll ever use...I think it a cool piece though..Get it Mark.....

OK, got the monster headed this way, just couldn't stand it. 750 into 8 was just toooooooo much temptation, might be a lemon, but we'll see. been wanting to go elbow deep in one of those magnetic field F*&^%$# anyway.

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know Bob built something with this much power.

Dude--I'm stoked about putting this monster on the AP and refuting the power rating----if indeed it does not p[erform as claimed. And the documentation to back it up. If I was the seller i would be a wee bit nervous throwing around those kinds of numbers, course he did quantify them as FTYC testy numbers. better study the FTC tests parameters, alkyhough if I remember right they were RMS after 20 minute warm up. Not peak, dynamic or music power, but straight RMS. if that's so, that's a hell of an amp.

Lee,

Found this link to the Carver site with the published information for the PT-2400 amplifier. Thought you might find it interesting, if you haven't already seen it. The Carver site has some cool nuggets to be found in the forums, etc..

http://www.carveraudio.com/index.php/amplifiers/pt-2400

It has XLR inputs, so if you don't have any on hand, you might want to order some, so you are ready to play when the amp arrives. I would assume inputs would be male XLR, but ya never know...

Ed says the Carver C-500 was in response to Bob's first "Cube" amp and it's high failure rate. It was an idea to get back to more conventional ab stuff. He said a PL020, Pl36 or Pl14 would do it. So ther revision "C" board woukld kick some but. It wwas also thge first attempt at Bob's trying the +,and - rails being out of phase so it didn't pull the PS down so much, and my immeddiate question was "What got em back into phase", he laughed and said Dean tried to explain once but alas.....

Mark, Ed says the DRS-900 has the MOST ACCURATE LED power display of any of the PL stuff. It is an exact representation of whatever is going on at the time and the clip indicator shows just that .
