Considering yet another receiver…

So, I have a nice Carver that needs some repair/upgrade to be 100% thanks to a generous member here.

I was really liking the gunmetal color but since have grown out of it.

At the same time I’ve always liked the look of the Sansui receivers- black face with white dial.

I have an opportunity to pick up a TA-500 in good cosmetic and operational condition (needs backlight bulbs) and I wanted to touch base on any possible issues I should be aware of before I add yet another.

This will be my office unit at work. I’ll add tape and Cd later. Maybe add my unused hotrodded Rega table…

Does it have weird output devices? The last Sansui I worked on (AU-D7) had weird output devices…….

Yep, similar (smaller than) to the AU-D7

So good thing it works and I should set bias and offset (assuming I can) ASAFP before playing, yeah?
