Compact disc

Funny- the man told us it was a semiconductor laser while showing a gas tube laser.

My collection topped off at around 650 discs, I have 20 today. Pressed vinyl called be back…

Still have all mine and continue to purchase occasionally if hi-rez digital downloads aren't available. I get 'em from the artist's website.

Ya'll already know my thoughts on new vinyl pressing quality...

I used to listen to them a lot but vinyl has come back to me in a big way.
Only have about 900 but most are kept around because many artist never released their titles on vinyl or cassette form.
Never took to digital .
Too restrictive in its usefulness for my needs.
Was sad SACD never took off,had the convenience of CD and almost analog sound.

Yeah, I'd love to see more SACDs. The ones I have render gorgeous sound from of my Sony SACD player. They're still out there but it's now a serious niche.

There are a serious amount of rock, bluegrass, country, jazz SACD titles out there. Much more than I can afford.

The only problem I had with SACD;s was choice of music available.
Lots of classical and some jazz.
Popular or rock music was kinda limited.

That's news to me but I've not been actively looking for the rock/bluegrass/country stuff when I probably should be. Are there sources besides Amazon and Ebay, Joe? I try to avoid those two sites if at all possible.

I usually just do a Bing search for an author and SACD and see where it takes me...
