Charles 'Bubba' Smith, NFL legend and film star, 66

A pretty cool guy died yesterday. Bubba won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Colts in 1971 and his perfomance on the field was outstanding.

When Miller Brewing wanted to introduce a new kind of beer they chose Bubba to do a spot. That spot was also outstanding and Miller Lite became famous.

When they wanted to made a comedy movie about a police training school so low on recruits they had to take just about anybody (including Grandmas), they called Bubba. The results were funny as hell and Bubba was a star in films.

To bad. I saw that last night. If I remember right he was 66 years old. That is young today.

I think the life expectancy of ex NFL stars is not in line with the rest of the country, might be just me, but a lot of them die young.
