I'll tell you something about Carver, he does add some simple features to every product. Reading between the lines, he auto senses the presence of an audio signal, and uses the result to reduce output tube bias when the amps are not playing music. Why has no one thought of that before?

So someone finally designed an amp to actually use all the attributes available in the KT-120 tube. I'll bet this beauty will absolutely blow your socks off. I knew Bob had been doing a lot of one off tube amps and selling them on eBay. Now I wonder if they were prototypes of this series of tube aps? Do you have any idea on the cost of the amps? If I could afford a pair, I'd go for the 305 watt monoblocks...

I'd probably be able to sell some of my other tube amps to raise the cash to get a pair, so let me know the cost and we'll see..

PM me your findings Larry....The most powerful tube monoblocks I own are rated at 120 watts. They are the M-120's designed by the maker of your SP-12 preamp, and is available in kit form for right under a grand a piece. They sound fantastic too....

Way outa my leauge then. I thought they might be more down to Earth thn that. Certainly not a dollar a watt like the Phase Linears were in the day.

More like $450.00 per watt...

If I had the disposable income I would jump so fast your head would spin. I would say that the wholesale price would be about 1/2 of the MSRP or less. They give you pretty good prices on the initial purchase. You would probably have to buy both pairs. And the speakers coming out.
