Can anyone recommend a new replacement for an old 2SC1628Y transistor?

Since I've been waiting for new meters to arrive from the UK, I wound up replacing all the electrolytic caps in a Toshiba SC335 power amp as the face and covers were off anyway.

During this exercise, I put up some questions about the meters and powers supply caps on DIY Audio. One fellow who claims to know these amps well suggested replacing 6 particular transistors due to age related degradation and despite that they may test OK. One transistor type of which I need 4 (2 matched pairs apparently) have replacements I can get locally for 50 cents each. But the other two have eluded me.

Those two are 2SC1628Y and I have only found one online data sheet but it's in Korean or Japanese.

I was hoping that someone here who might have a cross reference guide could tell me the number for a currently available equivalent.

If it helps, it 's an NPN any the case style is TO202.

KSC3503 But the pin order is different.. I've been making a list of recommended subs whenever I find some...

Thanks. I also read on a different forum where someone replaced those same old 2SC1628Y transistors in a Pioneer SX980 with KSC3503. I called one of the local parts shops who didn't have them nor anything similar but their supplier had stock (supposedly) so they special ordered me a couple. It seem however that it too has been discontinued.

EDIT: And roger that on the pin order.

Out of curiosity, what do the letter suffixes at the end of transistor number mean? For instance, I am also getting some 2SA970's to replace original 2SA841. What was suggested were 2SA970BL but as far as I know, what I'm winding up with are plain old 2SA970's.

I need 4 of those but I'm getting 6 - supposed to use matched pairs. Not sure yet how to do that.
