To listen to almost every show the Dead ever did go here http://archive.org/details/GratefulDead

Some are audience recordings and others were recorded by the Band. It was all about the music, the way it should be. Yeah, I'm one of Jerry's Kids. lol

For those not in the know, there was an area set up at each show jsut for the tapers.

In 1995 they were working on being able to sell you a CD of the show by shortly after the end of the show recorded at the sound board.

I have 3 of those. The only one I would really be hot to get is "The Grateful Dead Movie". I remember when they used to show it late at night on the USA Network in the '80's.

My favorite era for the Dead is around 1970-73. Pigpen was still alive and Bob was in his cowboy phase.

Fairchild, what is your favorite era for the Dead?

I'm not a big Dead fan. Knew people who were. I liked to get to the same state of mind though. I have the utmost respect. They lived comfortably. That was what they wanted. When they knew that they could live comfortably. They started giving back. They believed music should be free. Can't like Metallica at all. We are rich but our fans are taking our royalties. Yea a good liberal way of thinking. Better than a stick in the eye I guess. LOL

My first Dead album was the Skeleton and roses album and iam still partial to it. I really don't have a favorite era as much as I don't listen as often to the Goddchaux era.

Have you listened to the volume 2 of Europe 72 or The Birth of the Dead?

The Birth of the Dead has some of the tracks from when they were the Warlocks.

No I haven't heard any you mentioned. The first Dead albums is one of my favorites by them.
