I got the first Black Sabbath album when it came out circa 1970. I had not heard of Black Sabbath until I saw the album cover. The band name and album cover interested me enough to buy it. I was disappointed when I played it and my opinion was that they were trying out a gimmick to see if it would sell. I suppose that was true but the gimmick stuck.

The 2nd Black Sabbath album was better.

Even though I wound up with several later Black Sabbath albums and Ozzy solo albums, I do not think I played any one of them in it's entirety.

I was intigued when I learned that Ronnie James Dio fronted Black Sabbath for a while.

Ronnie James Dio, now there was a vocalist!
