That's a neat accessory, Lee. And probably not that common to come across, in any kind of condition. Yours looks mint.

Yes Nando it's mint, and that's why it's here. I've often thought if I were to sell the RTU-11, that if I had all the accessories thgat it could have it might be better as a package. I think I am now at that point. I've got both head blocks, both TAU-11's and now the remote.

It's quite remarkable how costly accessories have become to buy used, nowadays. I have a wired remote control for my Akai GX-747 that commands more price-wise, than I originally paid for my deck about seven years ago. And I bought the deck for $50 and paid $15 for the remote control.

Well, as the popularity of this awesomely built equipment increases it will only get worse. And of course the aspect of some of this stuff never being in production since it was stopped also commands the collector price. AND THEN, when the stuff looks and is presented as yours is......well........very engaging.

Lee: Mind if I ask how much for the JT-211? I'm guessing $100, or more.

I bet it operates my Pioneer RT-1020L, right? I doubt I would ever come across one without actively looking for such a remote control. A very nice catch, indeed!

Another benefit---to keep the aluminum decorative rings around the pushbuttons on the deck and the remote, there are some sort of o-rings. To access these is almost a total teardown of the deck. Not so with the remote. Before I dive into the RTU-11 I want to have those on hand to replace when I get to that point. I will take the JT-211 apart so I can see what they are and get em sourced for when that happens.

It's possible Gerry, the fellow with all the good stuff, may have something, but I doubt it. I haven't been over to visit him, yet, but he has invited me over.

I could check my OM for the RT-1020L to see what's compatible, so a photo would be nice. It may be a standard 5, or 7 pin DIN male I'm guessing on the JT-211.

Thanks for the picture, Lee. Unfortunately, I just found out my RT-1020L doesn't have provisions for a remote control input.
