I was just watching a DVD. When I lived in Portland and Seattle. I would go to the Blues Clubs. Sunday night was Jam night. People would show up and just play. A good time was had by all.

Jerry we should have watched Wizards or Jeff Beck. Just turning it up a little. Most cities I was in if they had a Blues club I was there.

We have a place called the Press Room in downtown Portsmouth, NH who also has regular jazz musician playing there. I heard a local 3 piece bass, piano, drums and they were awesome. Overall, Portsmouth is a pretty good music scene, has a lot of places to play/bars restaurants. I think it was more active in the 90's though.

I have seen Arlo, 3 dog night, Ray Charles, Krokus and a few more at small venues. Seattle and Portland had some very good Blues clubs.

Why do I keep thinking you're answering that "Tongue-in-Cheek" ????
I picked up on the "good" and "bad" connotation right off the bat, Lee.

The old scuddert anyway. Nando.....he's holding something back!!
I hear him chuckling in Woodstock. I know of only two small clubs in Vancouver: The Yale which features rhythm and blues and The Cellar which features jazz. I haven't been to either, but I do enjoy the confines of my stereo room and my favourite drink with Geri over an evening out. That's about as small a venue I can think of.

I just found out Innovative Audio may have a pair of Klipsch Cornerhorns and La Scala's that just arrived.

Hi Lee,

I can't say whether I'll have time this weekend, but I intend to hook up the Web Phoenix speakers in their permanent positions in the corners of the opposite wall to my stereo system.

Yah, I know it's easy to just hook up a pair of wires to the "B" terminals of the receiver/amplifier to test them out, but I'm sure they'll be fine, provided they sound like what I remembered when I was 20 years old and was half-buzzed from Vodka & Tonics at some of those house parties.

I have plans for a system reboot of sorts: using my Pioneer SA-9500II integrated to power the Webs, patch in the Pioneer Elite SP-99D Sound Field Processor for control of the rear to front fader and left and right channel balance. Your old Pioneer RG-9 will take up residence on the rack, too. So, my system is a bit Laatschified. And the Sony X7ESD CDP will have a new spot in the rack, too, rather than the rolling cart I have it, temporarily, on right now. I may even hook up the Pioneer Quad decoder as my Pioneer RT-1020L R2R plays back in quadraphonic and I have some quad tape reels.

When I'm done with the changes to my stereo... pardon me, quad system, I'll fill you all in.

Nando.

I've got a couple of gift bags in the freezer of freshly caught prawns and beer is always stocked. I'll let Geri know there will be a couple of yahoos headed up north once I get the confirmation of your departure from the good ol' US of A.

Tunes are always secondary to some good home cooking and a few comfort drinks!

Nando.
