Finally found the source of a very annoying buzz at very specific frequencies in my bench speakers.
It all started with testing Model ONE amps on my bench and was unsure of the source, was it the speaker or upstream electronics… It only occurred on the left speaker.
I decided to tear into the speaker first and not the amps I just completed assembly. A further clue was the buzz occurred with both amps, NO way I made a mistake on both!
The port tube was not properly glued to the cabinet.
Well, now that I’m in it this far, I might as well go all in and upgrade the crossover with parts I’ve had sitting on the shelf for over a year.
Some nice high quality premium film caps and air core inductors…
