I bet whoever made that for KLH also made the decks for Kenwood... Any idea who it may have been?

Got to be careful with some of those old AR XA. Some are 2 motors, 2 belts. And some have a Delrin spindle and tonearm "babbit" bearing that swells from the oil and seizes the platter and tonearm shafts. Stick with a late model XA or any XB with the metal babbit and Delrin disc in the bottom of the wells . Some of the even newer models have various issues. All the XB are considered a safe bet and should have the good motor. Lousy particle board and vinyl base however.
Having a XB since new I never considered a XA.
