Bought the 2 that were on E-Bay yesterday. Bought to upgrade and sell. Let me know if you are interested. Should be an interesting thread. These are very upgradable pieces, some op-amp changes and a few caps and they are outstandiong pre-amps.

Thanks. I know that being a Rhoads Scholar doesn't help you fix electric pianos at least?

Not a coffee or tea drinker, prefer the chocolate straight.

Ok – I see how this works. First you find a nice piece of vintage hardware and buy it, then another and of course you realize that you don’t have all the test equipment “necessary†to conduct performance tests so you start to collect more stuff and then you start hiding some of this from the wife and then …
Well with that said I’d like to be next in line for the 3300 pre – just can’t help myself. This doesn’t mean that the 4000 won’t get any attention though.

Ok , yeah Dennis that's how it works except with my wife, she's an enabler of the worst kind. Her only stipulation?? If you spend money on it , it has to sound better. And she likes it at Mach 8 also. A lucky guy I am. I'll keep one till you're ready for it.

FF, that's not a bad pre either, but in the 2000's I prefer a Ser I.

Thanks Lee - let me know the paticulars - do you normally do that thru PMs? Can't wait to get a system up and running.

Yeah - my wife is pretty tolerent but she keeps asking me where we're going to put all this stuff. Got to make room.

I tried to post yesterday but kept getting bumped off the site. I'd write a reply to post and sometime between logging on and hitting the Submit button I was dropped from the site. We'll see how it goes today. I'm still logged in right now though and that's a good thing.

Ok - here goes.
