This one is Silver. Non working direct drive needs new belts. LMBO. If any one wants it let me know. Has any one else seen a silver one? I have some different Yamahas. Let me know if you want this one. I won't bid.

I already spotted it too, and have been watching it. If I can get the black one back and working, I'll lay off it...plus you'd have to belt and re-tire it anyway. so go for it....Just promise that some day, I'll have a working and beautiful wonderful blissful Yammie K-100

I AM GOING TO TRY TO GET IT. I THINK IT WILL MATCH THE ALL PHAS LINEAR SETUP I WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE. GOING FROM ALL BLACK TO ALL SILVER. I'M GOING TO GIVE IT A RUN. IT WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO VISIT WOODSTOCK FOR A NEW BELTING AND RE-TIRE. SO YOU'LL GET TO SEE IT BEFORE I DO,..(IF I WIN IT. I'M GOING TO TRY THOUGH..) : )

I have 2 Cary amps to send out. I have secret Santa to do. I'm down 2 to 0 on shipping. If Fedex cuts a check I'm drop shipping a top to Lee. My garage is done. Now more insulation. Just bought 2 goldpoints. Trust me I'm not bidding on squat.

No not really. I just made some one happy by running a black one up to 80.00. If anyone was bidding on it I'm not sorry. You don't bid 2 days out. If you are going to do it do it with a snipe. I will see how bad they want it. LOL Pretty bad I guess.

May I ask just what is it with these Yammie decks thats so attractive? They seem to have a unique sound signature from what I've read, not quite like a Nak, but different, Tom...what are your thoughts on this?

I got the silver one and a black K-1020. I will let you know what shape they are in when they arrive. I've got my fingers crossed that ONE of them will work, out of the box. The heads on the K-1000 silver looked really good in the ad, so I hope it works, but Larry you are the man...I hope I don't have to bother you with either one of these...

There are 3 more on ebay. I am going to buy the one with box and remote. On this one I have some deep pockets. I am going to Snipe it. On the one for parts or fix. I asked him 2 questions. Did he try to reverse what he did? He was messing with the record head to get it to erase.

Second question was where did he get the manual? I spilled some thing on it and the ink ran. I no longer have it. I don't know him.

Funny

Pulled the transport today. Cut my fingernails yesterday. Now my fingers are sore trying to put a tire on. Sutton you can't copy a manual on both sides of the paper. If you have to trace a circuit you need to be able to put the schematics together to do the trace. I have a 1000 and a 1020 manual. I think. LOL Would you like me to fix the cover on the 1000? It has been rode hard and put to bed wet. I'll sell you a nice 1000 for 150.00. It is silver as well.

Sure Larry. I would just like to hear a Yamaha cassette deck that works. I've never seen one. I now own three of them, all NOT WORKING...I would like to have a working K-1000 and a working K-1020. Send me a PayPal request and I'll but a fourth one. What are we going to do with the other three decks?

I am fixing them. I was joking. I do have a black cover I can sand and paint silver though. If I get more tires and clips. I may be able to build all but 1 1000. So I am going to buy several tires and clips. You may get 3 working decks. LOL Here are some pics. I am shaking bad today so they may be blurry.

Larry,

The K-1000 idler hub has a new tire on it. There is another new tire and clips in the baggie, so there are two new tires and clips. The K-1020 has all new belts. All it needs is the corrct size tire. The one from the K-1000 is too small. The clip from the K-1020 is also in the baggie.

I don't know if I can use the worrd Yamaha and working deck..in the same sentence. I have never sen or heard one which works..I am hoping to one day. I probably could have bought a really nice Nak with all the money I have invested in these Yamaha decks. I'd say I have spent over $200.00 in shipping alone, and probably anothe $150.00 at least, in buyine these decks. Count the money spent on belts and tires and clips....it is scary...I have over $400.00 invested and nothing that works...although I BROKE the K-1000 idler hub rocker arm or whatever it would be called, and with my super glue treatment, it is trash now...a New Transpost is all that will fix that deck..

I hope you can get them running, I just don't know if anyone can do it, it would be you though...

The pics are of the 1000. I'm confused. It is done all except putting the clip on it. And putting it back together. Will do that tomorrow. I am confused.

I just don't have a clue what he is saying. LOL It is backwards to me. I am waiting on parts. I am going to try a washer instead of clips. My guy doesn't sell clips. The washer is a good idea if it works. We shall see.

I had one 3-4 years ago but I gave it as part of an old neighbor's wedding gift.

I had a half dead CR reciver I sold locally for a guy to fix, a 5-CD carousel changer (...555) that went to a former girlfriend years ago, a DSR-70 PRO Prologic decoder in my current living room system and an R-8 receiver Web sent but I haven't done much about fixing yet because he sent that Pioneer SA-8800.

Do you know how many receivers, cassette decks, VCRs, 5-14" TVs (there's a 50s or so Hotpoint Hi-Vi in there!), speakers/projects and stuff I have in mainly the old shed and some in the new (I try to save it for bike and tools but it splills over)?
