Ok, new guy here. I was asked to post some pics of my setup and talk about the SAE amps I'm using.
First of all, let me set the record straight.....bi-amping and having a separate amp running every speaker pair in a 7.3 home theatre system does NOT necessarily make it sound better. The reason for this monstrosity of a build, was simply because I COULD do it.
So, starting on the right side of the stack and from the top, is a Monster Power Center for...well, power of course.
Next item down is an SAE 8000 tuner.
Next is a Buttkicker 100 watt amp running 2 tactile transducers under the couch. Or in other words, Bass Shakers, so your ass can vibrate to the sound of explosions on the screen.
Below that is a Furman power bar.
Below that is an SAE IVDM amp driving a Polk cs1000p center channel which has it's own built in amp with subwoofer.
Next is an SAE 2400 running a pair of side axis speakers (just a no name brand I had lying around)
Next is another SAE 2400 running a pair of side surround Polk speakers.
Next is another SAE 2400 running a pair of rear surround speakers.
Next is another SAE 2400 running the highs on a pair of bi-amped Polk SDA SRS front main speakers.
Next is an SAE 4000 electronic crossover doing bi-amp duty for the SRS
Below the crossover is an SAE 2600 running the lows on the bi-amped SRS
Below the 2600 is another SAE 4000 crossover sending the signal to the 2 lower amps driving the subwoofers.
Below the crossover is an SAE 2500 running the SVS subs under the center speaker
The last amp in the stack is another SAE 2600 running the dual SVS cylinder subs in the front corners.
I'll save the description of the left side of the stack for another time.
Oh, and there is an Epson 8500 UB projector shooting the image on a 100" Carada screen.
