I see many problems with this, even though it seems society wants it. I'm not the only one either, http://www.computerworld.com/articl...t-amazon-go-s-cashier-less-grocery-store.html

Sad, that the new generations do not mind having no contact with others in the 'outside world'; away from their phones and computers at home. I guess my 40+ years working in customer service was all for naught? :color::offtheair::sad6:

I'd hate to just be working around ancient ones dribbling into their incontience pants in my golden years

Even at Home Repo they had somebody standing by to help. I didn't see what the point was.

PS We have a fairly young postal clerk here who is lightning fast and got all my remaining Phoenix Christmas mailers done lickety-split while one other clerk got everybody else. I don't get this self-service kiosk at ALL. At Home Repo you have a scanner to read the barcodes, NO PRODUCE and no loose packages of anything except maybe an occasional bunch of nails and a specialty product, and lumber if definitely NOT going through there.

Teach your checkers well before the rush and don't have 3 lines at a Wally World that constantly have a checker pulling the till just as you get there with one dollar box of Christmas candy. Screw Walmart, there is a DOLLAR STORE across the street!

When the phone company still had a physical office at the least one of the workers could always speak Spanish to explain that just because it is called a 'Princess' phone his daughter did not have royal authority to rack up a $300 bill on it...

PS That woman went to Kmart, that closed and thank goodness she is working still working steadily at one of our GROCERY STORES.

That would be self service ordering kiosks and food delivered to your table. It was some other chain thinking of that, saw it on Yahoo maybe but cannot remember who. When mom came over this month we got ours brought over at A&W. the management still remembers when she complained about the cleanliness and corporate sent me comps and it was fixed the next time she went there with me.

A&W is my favorite, goes back to when I was a teen and the cheerleaders were carhops. I know a good meal there as I got fat there.

I still have a set of the original old logo A&W glass mugs, 3 different sizes

I always wanted one but my aunt will never give one to me or let me have the Firestone Air Chief my grandmother and great-grandmother owned. Those mugs are SPENDY now, the ones with the circle and arrow.

I settled on finding the exact model of tubed GE AM clock radio grandma had on her counter...got it on eBay, and the power switch won't turn off anymore. I think it came from West Virginia, there is a return address sticker like people use on envelopes.
