Altec Lansing Valencia's

STACKED!

This was my old house back in MO. This was when I was just starting to collect gear. My first "real" speakers, the Altec 846B models on the bottom and a pair of 846A's stacked horn to horn on top.

Found this old pic and thought some here might dig seeing it.

Yup, 535 St. Anthony Lane

3/4 finished basement with bar. All in classic Knotty Pine.

Those are modified Altec Madrid's to the inside. They had the 420 15" full range bi-flex speaker taken out and replaced with a reconed 12" Altec woofer from a pair of Altec Model 14's and a 1" Altec dome tweeter. All the work done by the local JBL/Altec guy before I owned them. I later turned them into E-waves for a bit then put the tweeter back in them and sold them.

The stacked Valencia's are being powered by the Sanusi G-8700DB (My first really good receiver) in the background.
