Well I have done a little research on this deck. 6 WPC is not going to push my speakers. I have done it with 13 WPC just to see. I'm still reading. I did find a service manual. So I will be reading more. It uses an EL84 power tube. So we shall see when it gets here how I'm going to use it.

6 wpc is on the high end I'd say.

I'll take the amps when you're done with them. You can send them along with those Lovan amp stands (that was for Lee's amusement) ;)

Ah Paul. Never miss an opportunity, LMOAO!!!

I still want em as my Big ass Allen 75's will need something but I'm a guy from rural MO so a couple of milk crates may do just fine (reminds me of my high school entertainment stand. a Bartles & James wine cooler display rack ;) )

I'll figure a way to get those amps into the system some how. For a portable R2R it isn't bad at all. I may use it in the garage. I have a DBX router will see. A passive pre would be nice.

Maybe build a pair of book shelf. Will see. I can build them cheaper than I can buy them.

Larry

I don't doubt that!

Unfortunately I am a skill-less, tool-less hack so I gotta buy my stuff..........

And minimus-7's or my 26's would probably do that.

The M-8 transport is much the same as other Roberts and Akai machines have, maybe ckose to 1970. As a recording deck it's not too badn I hope you weren't going to tear it to bits.

My SX-1500T has a tape head section and no others I own do. It would have a use in that form, think about that if you take the amps or whatever.

What is this take stuff? If I do would be have a case built. Figure out how to get it wired up to put it onto the SP12.

I used the new rubber clear this AM. Does pretty good Caikleen RBR. Someone picked up some shed though. Have to clean the heads that are buried. I do have the tools for it though. Light dentist mirror. Have to find them though. LOL

Good picture, Larry. I like the flexibility of all the output jacks, and being able to slow the speed down to 1 7/8 ips for dictation. I'm assuming the M8 also has internal speakers?

Yes on the top are 2 speakers. Cleaned the pinch roller and the external path. It does have the tube sound for sure. Have to clean the pots. I like picking up odd toys.
