We have a few different speakers. We have East Coast, West Coast, the Brits and I don't know where to put the others. Not much into west coast speakers as they have been described to me. Did like the older east coast speakers. Never owned a pair of Japanese speakers. There were a few in the middle I owned when I was younger was get the loudest with the least amount of power. Mostly out of Texas and OK. Friends had CVs and JBLs. Just never did it for me. I have owned AR, BAs, Polks trying to think what all I have owned. A lot have went down hill in the later years and what I have heard I could build better. So I don't even go there. I'm a tweeter and woofer guy so far in my life. No horns, ribbons or things of the gest. I like a fast tweeter and I do like bass just don't want it overwhelming. I just want it to be there. Well I didn't trash anyone. Still think horns belong on automobiles though. LOL

You like what you like,,,Cerwin Vegas,,HPM 100s are west coast to me,,,sharp high end deep loud Base,,,I,ve heard Heils,Walsh Radiators,Maggies etc,,all unique in design and sound ,,,I prefer a speaker that has a good crisp high end but not tinny,,and a low end that is smooth and deep ,,right now my Advents which do not have a strong low end but a mid range that compliments the Marantz work good for me ,,,,and why are you up so early

I couldn't do it to my Mom. They did my Grandmother. I saw her once. Never went back. They put my Aunt in one last year. It is the next street over and I haven't went yet. Just something about those places I just can't handle.

I talk to my Ma once a week and her memory is slipping,,but she is 88,,my Sons fear is that she may not remember how much of her meds she has taken or she will nod out while she got something on the stove and burn her house down,,,,she,s gotten sick from food not properly cooked or out dated,,,,the plus side is she would be closer to where he is going to live ,and away from my sister who has used her as a source of money for years

I used to think this way and all you are doing is cheating yourself of time with a family member and even WORSE, you are letting a family member just sit there and rot when they are just a street or two over. If you don't like the place to visit think how they feel having to live there 24/7. A visit from you might be the highlight of the week. Even better is to get them and take them out of the place.

Rex you are right and I know it. I love my Aunt dearly. I miss her. My cousin brings her over to see me sometimes. I go past the street and I want to turn. I don't leave my house very often. That is one obstacle. I see my Dr. Thursday and maybe that problem will be dealt with.

Rex you are right though. I'm being selfish.

Larry

PS I don't think she would like riding on the scooter. LOL

Dude she would box my ears if I even tried to get her on it. She and my Uncle raised me. They took me in whenever my Mom kicked me out. They called me in Mississippi once to tell me that my uncle died twice on the table. I packed my tools and left. Was in VA in less than 24 hours. 6 months later he died and they couldn't find me. So yes I do know.
