My VHF is normally good but every time God has the vapors I play Lotto on UHF.

This is my antenna. It's about ten years old and I brought it from my last place over six years ago.

This ChannelMaster 8-bay

is nice and I should be able to mount it on the side of my new tower with my dish but I'm not sure the specs are good enough even with an amp.

It wouldn't move as much though. Fixed would not be good as most of the UHF comes from a few degrees off of the PBS station (OPB K15DY-D translator) and the networks and 12 in Nampa and Boise.

Here's the base and then the mount assuming I will use this antenna:[attachment=0:18unphbm]TENNABASE.JPG[/attachment:18unphbm]

I decided to just lay a new base and buld an open top affair much like a certain type of cellphone or small microwave design I've seen. All four sides have plating at the base as suggested by the welder I had fix my kickstand.

Television/FM is placed to the left side vs the dish and the orientation for reception corresponds physically. The violet line is shortwave reception.

Now I need to brush up on correct grounding.

Up a notch to step 2!

I pugged both Viewsat Ultra VS2000 DVB reecivers I got for $25 dollars at a thrift in and one to the RF modulator.

Seems to work, searching for channels...got the manual. MIGHT do PIP (great! Needed that). Have the remote. Another two weeks left for anything else. Interesting.

I think it (VS2000) has PIP capability. I'm figuring that out.
