I had seen the specs. I just wondered if this is one of the good ones, or if it has known problems. I know the CR-7A is the one to have, but I didn't know if this one, being an older one had the high frequency response, etc. of the later decks. I know there is a GOLDEN ERA at which decks were at their best....solidly built with great specs...earlier ones didn't have the modern technology and high frequency respnse of later decks, and the later ones were cheaply built, but were great other wise. I'm just trying to find one from THAT TIME when the best of the best were built...

This one may be too early....or maybe not.. That is what I'm trying to learn...

A Nak is a Nak. Really what I have found is the orange drop caps. Yes this one has them. My 1st deck to work on was a 482. Not a Z. There is a list of which caps to change. 99.00 is a good price.

39 bucks for the K-1000 was the ticket.. I just want the best deck in the world FOR THE MONEY...so I don't know whether to get that Nak or not. When I finally get a K-1000 that is together, I don't think I'll need the Nak...plus I do have the Denons, and I have plenty of tapes. I just want to start taping and enjoying, but seems like stuff gets in my way....I hate to buy a bunch of $50.00 and $100 decks, when I could have just gone ahead and gottne THE deck and be done. But I think a K-1000 or a K-1020 or a KX-1200 or KX-2000 will be that deck, and not a Nak..cause I want to be able to listen to the tapes on other decks ( like in my van..) so tell me what to do, or just send me one of your Yammies and I'll send you money...What is the best Yammie made?

There are some nice KX decks. I like the Yamahas for the bang for the buck. I do like the Naks also. I never had a problem with any of my Naks play on other decks. I'll get your 1000 fixed and then go from there. I like the 1000 alot.
