I'm not a beer afficionado (gimme my MHL) but I have to recommend somethng that just knocked my socks off.

New Holland's Dragon's Milk is a bourbon barrel stout. A great sipping beer. I'm not partial to most dark beers because of the usual bitter aftertaste - this one is smooth with a bourbon linger. I also find this is a beer that heightens the senses, taste and hearing. Half a bomber put me in tranquility (at 10+% alcohol it should) craving for some smooth sounds and hungrier than hell. Unfortunately after finishing the bomber I didn't care if I was eating shit on a shingle, stick to the CD player for tunes (flipping vinyl would be a no-no). Split a bomber with someone for a nice evening. Enjoy!

Thanks for the head's up. More of a rye guy myself, but love me a nice stout every now and them. Will have to keep my eyes open for this one. Plus, as a D & D nerd from waaaay back, I am a bit partial to the name:happy7:.

If you like dark beer, seek out some Arrogant Bastard Ale. I first came across it at a gas/grocery in Cuba, New Mexico, and had not found it in a long time, but found a four-pack of Oaked ABA the other day. Just remember their motto: You're Not Worthy.
