I blew out the bottom tonight after blowing out the top side yesterday and got the deviation meter back!

Now the only problem is the function selector--that's what is responsible for the left meter dropping off.

It's responsible for losing the deviation meter as well!

Fix that and replace the bad edge veneer on the left side panel and it's a stereo!

I was told to clean the pots and switches and such and that should cure it as the deviation/strength and power meters both fo through the selector switch.

Another well-spent $2!

I also figured out why that was a problem...

A previous owner only lost one of the tiny screws from the bottom plate but two of the three shaft nuts were gone, and you know where.

I'll see if I can remedy that with new ones.

Blew it out good all over, sprayed it, worked the controls really good, now it's worse, doesn't get FM stereo relly at all, tried a couple smidgeons and nothing when I take it out of mute, tuned like it should be...

I'll have to regroup and think, hope it won't be around the PA-3001-A IC.

It definitely has that something was on the stove too long, faint hint of trouble smell.
