I’m just wondering if all this testing is going to be available as a DIY project for any of us who own one of these?

Is there a thread where all of these mods have been collected? And do they apply to a series1?

Does this mean Gene is going to have to start a new thread? Or will this one continue forever?

In response to George I have a pair of large Advents sitting on top of a pair of cs-99a’s that sound really good to my burnt out ears. 700b powers the 99’s and a Carver 400t cube runs the Advents. Both are run out of a Carver C1.

Thanks for looking Lee. The joints are pretty solid they just don’t show up well in the pictures. Joe the copper plate is there insulated from the chassis and wired per your updated ground scheme. Thanks!

I still need to tin the wire ends and dress everything up. Then onto the input wiring. That is provided I don’t mess anything else up on the way.

Forget that last post. The fuses were not installed. With the fuses in I now read with variac at 120 volts .249 volts on the bias. Bulb is faintl glowing. I’ll see what happens when I reinstall the 4th row. Probably just a brain fart on my part. May not be tonight. Thanks
