    The X-amp review, part I

Hello stuwee... thanks for the nice initial impressions. My experience has been that 100 hours seems to really open the x-amp up. There are a ton of magnetics in these Class D guys - and the SWPS itself is chalked full with them 8-) Please let mw know if you want to try the Mono Blocks -...

Thank you - I appreciate that. I'm excited to hear what Larry thinks of these amps (and you guys too)... These are based on the NXP 8950 (latest latest part) and sound terrific. This is a design that (as I understand it) was derived by the incredible Hypex UcD topology. NXP (Philips) has...

For those interested in hearing a really wonderful Class D amp - do stay in touch with Larry as I'm due to ship him today a few of our stereo Class D amps. These are really musical - very tactile and dynamic in the bottom octaves - yet sweet and nicely detailed in the mids and highs... I love...

Good Morning CC... Gosh - even I'm confused by this... :) The DDE is what model exactly... I don't remember having any DDE's (DAC models) with I2S outputs... inputs YES, but not outputs... Can you give me more information. As well... the connector is a modified s-video connector... Many...

YES - this method works fine and dandy... but if you want to wrest the very last drop out of this set up - do use I2S between the DTI and DDE... :) Many thanks Mark

Hello All I apologize for not getting here a bit quicker. It might be that the I2S cables you have are not working properly. I just today sent Larry two more of these - plus some other goodies. He will have them shortly. The best way is to use the DTI in front of the DDE (DAC) and try to use...

Just a quick hello and a further bit of information. The x-amps were an av123 product - designed by Doug Goldberg. These amps (stereo and mono) were based on NXP technology and not TriPath. These were terrific products. More tomorrow... thanks for the invite to participate here... Mark
