    Also on that PL 400 that I did, I had a probe slip and took out a zenor diode and a transistor. Your vid's will help me do my Pl 700II. I already replaced the meters with White Oak meters , you gonna love Em...

    The black face plate is I believe the way Clair Brothers Audio ordered the amps from Phase Linear. Intended for pro audio, hence the 1/4 inch input jacks. Serial numbers have nothing to do with the build year. You could look on the output transistors for a date, like 8026, provided transistors...

    that makes a lot of sense, Cathy does not have the big caps cradle on the transformer, so the caps would still be mounted in clamp straps. I can see that doable. I believe somebody would do that one day, if not already...
