That sounds kind of like the old Dyna Quad circuit from Dynaco. It came in a stand alone box or as a circuit in the SCA-80Q integrated amp which could be switched in and out. Wonder how close it really is?

Had a moment to listen this evening. Pretty good album. My cartridge picks up a few more ticks than the son-in-law's but overall it's still in good shape. HIghlights are the Peter Gunn theme and listening to them distill 40-plus minutes of Pictures At An Exhibition into a 15 minute finale.

Concrete floors are a definite benefit for damping vibration. One reason I built out this little room downstairs - didn't want everything sitting on the rack on a wood floor.
