Just had a real quick look this morning at this. I lifted the rectifier diodes and they test ok, if you look at the schematic they give some voltage values at the filter cap, those are all low, if I check AC after the transformer and before the diodes it seems one leg of the transformer might be...

They’re push in euro block Phoenix connectors. Need 4 of them, out of stock till end of March/early April from crapazon... they’re for some rca to XLR transformers I’ve got coming to fix my system noise issue.

That looks like someone hit it with the solder iron, the speaker wire is melted at the amp side of things but it looks like that may just be from soldering it to the jack however the solder joints at the speaker didn’t melt the insulation there, oh and it’s shiddy lamp cord for speaker wire... I...

    Michell prisma circuit board

It’s open until the magnet on the power knob closes it. I “THINK” the reed switch is the main power and the micro switch is the 33/45 selector which happens when you turn the knob left or right one way is magnet only and the other is magnet and micro switch. Again if you’re unsure I’d assemble...

I think it’s late 60’s early 70’s... rectum dryer diodes seem ok, I’ve got 23xVdc out and only Mv AC after the diodes. Looking for a 47uF cap to bridge the filter cap and see if she quiets down. The crackle seems to be related to the tremolo circuit. It’s quieter with that in the off position...

    Michell prisma circuit board

It’s been a while since I worked on that so I’m a little fuzzy. There’s that micro switch there also and I don’t remember what it does. You may not want to jump anything as the micro switch and reed switch could work in conjunction. These motors are rare as unicorn piss so try not to hurt it! I...

    Michell prisma circuit board

Nice. I’ve got a Prisma also. There’s a thread where I had the whole motor split apart to clean and oil The bushings. They use a magnetic reed switch, do you have to motor assembled with the magnet on the power knob to engage the switch?

Having a look at this little guitar amp for a friend. Never worked on tubes... got a schematic at least. It’s got some 60hz hum which I would figure to be the filter cap but it’s got a weird crackle from the tremolo circuit also. The speaker cone is moving quite a bit with the tremolo circuit...

Fuck, just tripped Tim on high temp. I’m driving 4 ohm so not surprised but that old goat takes all I can throw at it. Rev G driver board, original quasi comp, one channel 2sd555 and the other xpl909. I can’t kill it. Put tofu from junk and pounds. Just put a fan on and came right back. Linda...

Stereo fuckery was rudely interrupted as I had to play first responder today. Quick trip to the general store and my friend had a seizure. Tough old bastard made it but thought it was 1994 and didn’t know his own name until the amber lamps took him away. He’s back home now after a CT scan with...

tri-amped they system today. It’s pretty epic... big carver running 60hz down, Tim 60-500 ans linda up. found some funky XLR connections wired wrong from the cable supplier also. This solved some noise and hum. Linda is absolutely quiet at idle but Tim still has hum even swapping the corrected...
