Good person as well as good musician, from all accounts. The Moodies are a favorite of mine to this day and he was an integral part of the sound. RIP, it was a great run.

That's been my method, along with relying on my oldest daughter to keep me apprised of all things musical in Texas. CDs, hi-res digital downloads are my primary source of new stuff, with the occasional piece of vinyl I buy.
