WOW! Glad to see that you got something out of it. It was a nice one, but I don’t have any tapes for it. In retrospect, I should have sent an S video cable, didn’t think of it at the time (you probably have one anyway).

That switch will be specific to that microphone, there won’t be a replacement that you can buy from an electronics supplier. Sorry to tell you bad news, but maybe the manufacturer can repair it.
I think it’s a sensor somewhere. Been packed up for ages, possibly some rubber rot on rollers and belts.
It was a beauty when it worked.
