I can almost build these things in my sleep after the last 20 or so builds. Joe adds exactly one backplane spacer than needed on each kit and I’ve almost filled a small ziplock bag with “spare” spacers. It’s an easy way to keep track of build quantity.

The bias leads in that picture are braided. I don’t think braided, twisted, or loose, has any effect on performance, I just tried something different on that specific build. I typically just twist the bias leads to keep them together during assembly.
